Jubilee Year 2025


The theme of Jubilee Year 2025 is Pilgrims of Hope. Pope Francis will launch it on Tuesday, 24 December, with the Opening of the Doors of St Peter’s Basilica in Rome and Christmas Eve Mass. The first Catholic Jubilee Year was held in 1300. The People of Israel practiced a Jubilee (Lev 25:8-13) as a way of renewing relationships with God, others, creation through reconciliation, renewal and re-moval of debts. Since 1470, Jubilee Years have been held every 25 years, characterized by pilgrimages to Rome and local Churches events. All Saints will be holding a number of Jubilee initiatives next year.

Masses in All Saints' church are: 7am 8am (Italian), 9.15am (with ASCC K-Yr 4), 1pm, 6pm (Polish) and  7.30pm. Masses at  All Saints Catholic College  will be at  9am (Yrs 5-10 – Liverpool campus) and  12.30pm (Yrs 11-12 – Casula campus). Ash Wednesday (like Good Friday) is a  day of fasting and abstinence (no meat) . Catholics  18 – 59 are bound to fast . Catholics  older than 13 are bound to abstain .

Christmas Mass times Christmas Eve – Tuesday 24 December: 6pm (Family Mass), 8pm, 9.30pm (Polish) & Midnight (carols from 11.30pm). Christmas Day – Wednesday 25 December: 7am, 8.15am (Italian), 9.30am, 11am & 6.30pm (Polish). No 5pm English Mass.
