World Day of Migrants and Refugees


This Sunday is the 111th World Day of Migrants and Refugees. It is normally on the last Sunday of September but is one week later this year to fit in with the Jubilee Year of Hope program. It highlights the challenges for people forced to flee their homelands or choosing to for a better life. The Catholic faithful are asked to pray for them, welcome them into our communities, support them in other ways and to acknowledge the opportunities that migration offers. The theme chosen by Pope Leo this year is Migrants: Missionaries of Hope. For more information: https://acmro.catholic.org.au/wdmr/2025.

Ash Wednesday (like Good Friday) is a  day of fasting and abstinence (no meat) . Catholics  18 – 59 are bound to fast . Catholics  older than 13 are bound to abstain .

Christmas Day – Wednesday 25 December: 7am, 8.15am (Italian), 9.30am, 11am & 6.30pm (Polish). No 5pm English Mass.
