Ecumenical World Day of Prayer thank you


Thank you to Kim Mannix, Fr Joseph Armah and all who assisted them in organising and presenting the Ecumenical World Day of Prayer last Friday evening and providing such a generous supper afterwards. While the congregation size was modest, three heart-wrenching testimonies from women living in Nigeria were particularly inspiring. A spirit of solidarity was evident in common prayer and singing. It was a timely outreach to other Christians in these times of fear and division, especially to brothers and sisters in faith in Nigeria or migrants and refugees living locally and worshipping at All Saints and St Therese Parishes.

Ash Wednesday Masses in All Saints church: 7:00 am 9.15am (with ASCC K-Yr 4), 1:00 pm 6:00 pm (Polish) 7.30 pm. Masses at All Saints Catholic College: 9:00 am (Yrs 5-10 – Liverpool campus) 12.5 0pm (Yrs 11-12 – Casula campus). Ash Wednesday (like Good Friday) is a day of fasting and abstinence (no meat). Catholics aged 18 to 59 are bound to fast and older than 13, to abstain.
