Palm Sunday of the Passion of the Lord

Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday. The liturgy has two parts: 1) commemoration of Jesus' entry into Jerusalem with the blessing of palms and gospel reading; 2) proclamation of the Passion. The mood shifts dramatically. Acclaiming Jesus as King of the Jews gives way to his suffering and death, contrasting God’s constancy in Jesus and human inconsistency; God’s fidelity and human infidelity.

Ash Wednesday Masses in All Saints church: 7:00 am 9.15am (with ASCC K-Yr 4), 1:00 pm 6:00 pm (Polish) 7.30 pm. Masses at All Saints Catholic College: 9:00 am (Yrs 5-10 – Liverpool campus) 12.5 0pm (Yrs 11-12 – Casula campus). Ash Wednesday (like Good Friday) is a day of fasting and abstinence (no meat). Catholics aged 18 to 59 are bound to fast and older than 13, to abstain.
