Purpose of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament


Adoring the Blessed Sacrament, displayed in a monstrance on the church altar, is a traditional devotion by which the faithful confirm their faith in the presence of Jesus in the sacred host consecrated during the Eucharist, and open themselves to encounter him deeply by gazing at his presence in prolonged silent prayer.

Ash Wednesday Masses in All Saints church: 7:00 am 9.15am (with ASCC K-Yr 4), 1:00 pm 6:00 pm (Polish) 7.30 pm. Masses at All Saints Catholic College: 9:00 am (Yrs 5-10 – Liverpool campus) 12.5 0pm (Yrs 11-12 – Casula campus). Ash Wednesday (like Good Friday) is a day of fasting and abstinence (no meat). Catholics aged 18 to 59 are bound to fast and older than 13, to abstain.
