Laudato Si’ Group—update


The Laudato Si’ Group promotes the teachings of Pope Francis in his Encyclical, Laudato Si’ (Care for our Common Home) through practical, achievable initiatives.

  • Recycle for Fr Ronnie delivers much needed funds to his mission in Humpty Doo, Northern Territory from 10c deposits received for empty plastic bottles and cans brought in by parishioners. We are about to send another $500.
  • Our group contributes to a program that teaches students from All Saints Catholic College about the ecological value of plant generation and how to grow different species. 
  • We are also leading a drive for more responsible disposal of waste in the Parish. We need others to help us with other ideas.

We meet at 7pm – 8.30pm on the 2nd Tuesday of each month in Loreto Place Room 2. Our next meeting is this Tuesday, 11 August. All are welcome. Enq.: info@cpasl.org.au.

The Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary this Friday, 15 August is a Holy Day of Obligation. Masses are at: 7:30pm        Vigil (Thursday evening), 7:00am, 9:15am        with ASCC K-Year 4 , 1:00pm, 6:00pm         Polish. Masses for All Saints College will be celebrated at 9:00am        Casula campus 11:45am      Liverpool campus, Years 5-10 . Please note: there will be NO 7.30pm Friday Mass.
